A question worth exploring

What would it take for farming and forest stewardship to support each other? Roots & Canopy starts with this question. We are exploring an agroforestry pilot alongside an ethnic youth community in Kampong Thom, with livelihoods and ancestral forests at the heart of the idea.

A model shaped locally

Cocoa, pepper, and wood ear mushrooms are among the products we would like to explore. They are starting points for discussion and testing, rather than a fixed production plan. Community priorities, growing conditions, and market opportunities will guide the work.

Enterprise belongs in the conversation

Growing a crop is only one part of a livelihood. Skills, processing, fair trading relationships, and access to responsible buyers also matter. We are exploring a potential partnership with 3CORsECO to connect these pieces.

Follow the journey

Roots & Canopy is in development. We will share updates as the model takes shape. If your work connects agroforestry, youth, community enterprise, or research, we welcome a conversation. Stay tuned as the journey grows.
